Eris 3.5 (2nd Gen) Monitors: A pair of active/passive speakers (50W total) featuring 3.5-inch woven composite woofers and 1-inch silk-dome tweeters. The front panel includes a volume knob and a high-quality headphone jack.
Eris Sub 8BT Subwoofer: A 100W (Peak) powered sub that extends your system's reach down to 30Hz. It serves as the "brain" of the 2.1 setup, housing the crossover and Bluetooth receiver.
To get the best sound, you typically route your audio source (computer, interface, or phone) into the Subwoofer first, then out to the speakers:
Inputs: Connect your source via TRS, RCA, or Bluetooth 5.0 to the Sub 8BT.
Pass-Through: Connect the Sub 8BT's Outputs to the Eris 3.5 inputs using TRS or RCA cables.
High-Pass Filter: Engage the 80Hz High-Pass switch on the sub. This prevents the small 3.5" speakers from trying to play deep bass, allowing them to play louder and cleaner while the sub handles the heavy lifting.
Low-Pass Filter: Set the sub's variable crossover (typically between 80Hz and 100Hz) to blend seamlessly with the monitors.
System Power: 150W total (50W for monitors + 100W for sub).
Max SPL: ~100 dB @ 1 meter.
Wireless: Bluetooth 5.0 for streaming music directly to the system.
Acoustic Tuning: High/Low EQ knobs on the monitors and a Polarity Invert switch on the sub to fix phase cancellation issues.
